We finally backed a winner last week which was predictably followed up by our second for a total of +3.92 units for the week.
We stuck by Melbourne Victory despite their poor start and our two unit bet at juicy odds of $2.62 was rewarded when Terry Antonis scored an excellent winner in the 71st minute following a swift and decisive move from Victory’s two best players, defender Thomas Deng and midfielder Keisuke Honda. Victory will be wise to get the ball to Honda as much as possible in the final third this season as he is a class above any other player in the league.
I like Victory to push on now they’ve got a win under their belt and we’ll look to the handicap markets to try and take advantage against a very average Central Coast side.

The other bet we’ll have this week on the Jets to beat Sydney. They are deservedly underdogs but are overpriced at current odds. The Jets managed 20 shots against Victory last weekend and if they can be a little more patient and pass up some long range shots in favour of attempting to work a better chance then they will improve for sure.
