Hawthorn have won eight games on the spin and are, according to many, going to cruise though to the grand final where they will win their third consecutive flag.
Now, they may just do that but that’s not how sport works, is it?
Teams move in and out of form and I would not be surprised to see the Hawks slip up at least once before the end of the home and away season.
Richmond were very unlucky not to beat Fremantle last week when they had 6 more scoring shots and 11 more inside 50’s and they have beaten two of the best sides in the comp already this year in Freo and Sydney.
We’ve highlighted before how the Tigers do better against the spread as underdogs than favourites and this record now reads 6/1 as 20+ point dogs since 2014 and 11/4 as 12+ point dogs. They are 13/6 as dogs overall and 5/2 as dogs at the MCG.
Hawthorn are not the ideal candidates to uphold this trend as they are 11/6 ATS as 30+ point favourites but the Tigers are top 4 candidates and the current line is an insult to the progress they’ve made in the last couple of years.
We’ve already tipped up the $2 on the Hawks with Ladbrokes but we are now going to tip the other side. The $20 placed at $2 with Ladbrokes should be used as a saver for the $20 you should have on the Tiges!
.33 units Richmond at $5.50+…..they are $6.50 with
1 unit Richmond +36.5 with at $2.0 (they go $2 at 4pm so wait until then!)
