The West Coast Eagles are coming off the bye on the back of three losses on the spin including against the Suns and Bombers, teams they just be beating if they want to challenge for a top four spot. Their defeat to the Giants in between those two matches was less of a surprise perhaps even though they were 12.5 point favourites on their home ground.
Geelong, also coming off their bye week, won their last three games which were all played at home, where they enjoy a similar dominance to the Eagles in Perth.
West Coast at home but out of form against Geelong away but in form is a tough one to call and the bookies agree, making the Cats very slight favourites.
I’m not even going to try and call the winner but am happy to invest in the total points market with the last eight games at Domain going under and the line set close to 10 points higher than my idea of the correct total.
