Bolton are good value to record their second win under new manager Neil Lennon when they host Charlton Athletic on Tuesday night.
Charlton have won once away from home this season and that was a very fortunate win at the end of last month against Norwich when they were outshot 15 to 4 but managed to sneak a 1-0 win. Their last two away ratings of 7.25 and 9.13 (average away rating in this division is 15.7) illustrate how they have struggled to make an attacking impact.
Bolton had shown some signs of improvement even before they ditched Dougie Freedman for the ex Celtic boss to take over and their last home performance against the excellent Bournemouth – a 2-1 loss – produced a rating of 21.0 after more or less matching the Cherries in all stat categories.
Their win at Birmingham will have given Bolton a lot of confidence going into this match and I make them a decent bet at $3.40 with
