Down to earth with a bang on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning with 6 losers from 6 bets.
Still, our results in the Nation League so far this season have been good so we have to brush off the bad round of results and stick to the plan, trying not to let 6 losers completely ruin your day (that last bit is mianly a note to self).
Average odds: $4.18
We’ve got three bets this weekend and, unusually, they are all bets on the home team.
Halifax look like a hopeless case on paper with just two wins all season and having conceded 25 goals in their last 8 games. Their last two games, however, have seen improved performances in single goal defeats away to Chester and Eastleigh. Their average odds in their nine home games has been $2.55 and at current odds of $3.40 we’ll take your chances on them.
Guiseley to beat Eastleigh at $4.15 with
Guiseley are overpriced to beat Eastleigh despite the latter being one of the form teams in the division since Chris Todd took over as manager. Guiseley have won their last two at home and can reasonably be expected to at least get on the scoresheet against an Eastleigh side that has shipped 15 goals in their last eight games.
Lincoln made it four wins from five away from home when they beat Aldershot on Wednesday and they have also won two from three at home. Tranmere have won two from three away but have only managed to hit double figure shots on their travels in two of their nine matches. I make Lincoln closer to an even money shot here so despite my aversion to backing teams at sub 2/1 I’ll be on Lincoln here.
