Next time I go to Fraser Island I’m not having a bet. That may be irrational but there you have it.
Still, nobody died, even if my betting bank has severe internal bleeding.
No League 2 fixtures on Wednesday morning Aussie time but we have a a full round of games in the Championship and League 1.
Barnsley vs Newcastle
Barnsley won their first three home games of the season but have lost their last two. They probably should have beaten Reading two games ago however after having twice as many shots as them and they conceded four to Fulham in their last home game from just 6 shots on target. Newcastle will be odds on for most games this season and we’ll no doubt oppose them a fair bit. If we can snag two wins against them over the course we’ll do OK.
Back BARNSLEY at $6.50 with
Brighton vs Wolves
Brighton have a great home record in their new(ish) ground but Wolves have away wins against Newcastle and Birmingham to their name already and outshot Villa, Wigan and Huddersfield in three other away matches. They are worth a chance at long odds.
Back WOLVES at $4.75 with
Derby vs Brentford
We opposed Derby at odds on with Leeds at the weekend and lost our money. It was their first home win of the season after 3 losses and 2 draws and they got outshot 13 to 9. I have to oppose them at odds on again this midweek.
