With recent form figures of 12, 8, 33 and 5 Nick Watney is playing his best golf for a couple of years and as a previous winner of this event in 2012 he looks like great value this week. He finished 36th here in 2010. He should really have won the Wyndham last week but his swing is looking really solid and he’ll come here full of confidence.

Paul Casey has a profile that’s somewhat similar to that of Nick Watney – he’s a former top 10 player who is just returning to his best form.  Casey shot an eye catching opening round of 65 last week and he backed that up with rounds of 69, 68 and 68 to finish 18th. He has decent form at this course too with 7th and 12th placed finishes in ’08 and ’12. He tied for 4th in scrambling in 2010 which is a positive with the small greens in play here.

If Bill Haas jumped off a cliff, would i follow him? Shit, i’d probably hit the ground before he did. We tipped baldy Bill win only last week and he finished 2nd. Thanks Bill.  He was 2nd in GIR here in 2010 and I just can’t jump off the good ship Haas this week at his current odds. His recent form reads 51, 41, 27 and 2 and it’s those sort of progressive figures that make us consistent profits backing golfers.

The odds for Dustin Johnson lookalike, Kevin Chappell, are not to be sniffed at this week with his propensity to play his best golf on tough par 70 courses.  His recent form is a solid looking 16, 52, 20, 34 and 13 and he’s gone well in this event before with a 32nd and a 15th place in the last three years.
