GOLF: WGC Bridgestone Invitational
free bets bet 365

By @OddyGOLF

We are officially in a dry spell with the golf bets despite a share of place money on Justin Thomas last week. It’s important to keep one’s nerve through these lean periods and have faith in the analysis that’s seen us produce excellent numbers thus far.

This week sees the third WGC event of 2015 with the Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club, a long par 70. The greens are small and will run fast while the par threes are very challenging.

We’ll be looking for long straight drivers with a touch of class.

Adam Scott has a good record in this event, winning it in 2010, finishing 8th last year and with two other top 10’s to his name.

He perfectly fits the bill when looking for a long straight driver of the ball and is ranked 3rd in total driving on the PGA Tour in 2015.

Hideki Matsuyama has played here twice, finishing 21st in 2013 and 12th last year. He finished inside the top 20 in the US Open and Open Championship and is 5th in total driving this year.

Zach Johnson might not seem like an obvious choice when looking for the winner of this event as he’s notoriously short off the tee. However, his win at St Andrews in the Open was just the latest win by Johnson at a course that looked too long for him.

He finished 6th in 2011 and 4th in 2013 in this event so can clearly challenge here.

His relative shortness off the tee mean his odds are boosted by a good few points this week.

Charl Schwartzel, on of our big priced tips, was bang in contention for three rounds at the Open Championship and his last five attempts at this track have an OCD soothing progressive look about them: 58, 53, 24, 21 and 4.
