It’s going to be a big weekend for the bottom four of the National League with all of them facing seemingly winnable matches and we’ll be backing three of them in what could be a big weekend for these tips too.
Barrow vs Boreham Wood
Barrow have a new manager in Paul Cox and despite my dislike of the man for his leaving Torquay United in the lurch earlier in the season I do recognise his good record at this level. He started with a win at home to Woking which makes it 7 wins from 12 at home.
Barrow play Boreham Wood whose recent away record does not quite do justice to the stats they’ve produced as they’ve won the shot count in 3 of their last 4 away fixtures.
Cheltenham are top of the league but have only won one in 5 at home while Chester sit 15th but have a solid record against the better teams in the division. I’m happy to take a chance on the away side at their current odds.
Gateshead won four of their first five away games this season despite being outshot in four of those wins. This couldn’t last and their results have taken a turn for the worse.
Kidderminster are not as bad as their league position suggests (they are bottom) and with a bit more luck they would have won a couple of the 8 games they’ve drawn. They’ve won their last two games at home and have only conceded three goals in their last five home games.

Torquay vs Wrexham
Not much to say about this other than the ratings make Torquay a much better chance than their current odds suggest and by crikey we need a win. Let’s hope it’s this weekend against Wrexham.
