Broncos v Eels
Both teams come into this match with a great run of form with the Broncos dropping just 1 of their last 6 (to tonight’s opposition, no less) and the Eels losing just 1 of their last 8 – to the bottom-placed Knights a fortnight ago.
The Broncos will be seeking revenge after their last match up against the Eels at ANZ Stadium and have the beenfit of their home crowd this time around. The Round 21 clash was a physical affair not short of controvery with Kenny Edwards’ late hit on winger Jonus Pearson a big talking point following that fixture.
The Eels will be without star fullback Bevan French and second-rower Manu Ma’u, out due to injury and suspension respectively. The Broncos will be missing some size off the bench with Tevita Pangai Jnr hamstrung.
This match is a big test of both teams premiership aspirations and both teams will be looking to further their top 4 credentials with the Eels currently sitting just outside. Milford’s form is too hard to ignore and the Broncos should be too big, too strong and too classy for the Eels this time around in a game that should produce plenty of points.
