Sunday afternoon sees the Melbourne Storm host the Bulldogs at AAMI Park in the second elimination final.
Melbourne will be sweating on the fitness of skipper Cam Smith, whilst the Dogs will be looking for a much improved showing after recent poor displays.
Melbourne have won 7 of the past 8 clashes against the Bulldogs at this ground, however the Dogs were successful in the most recent encounter.
In fact, the Bulldogs have won both games with the Storm this year, with a 40-12 victory in Perth and a 6-4 win at this ground.
Both these outfits are well coached and hardened semi-final sides, and I’m expecting this to be a very physical and dour encounter for the most part.
Only 1 of the past 5 clashes at this ground between these two have tallied over 40pts, and just 2 of the past 12 encounters at all venues have surpassed the same mark, so a low scoring game looks the best angle to play.
