The Dragons find themselves struggling to hold on to their spot in the 8 after an error-riddled loss to the last placed Knights in Round 21. They come up against the Rabbitohs, purely playing for pride at this stage of the season.
The Rabbitohs have lost their last 4 but haven’t been blown off the park by any means. They’ve won 4 of the last 5 against their opponents. The Dragons have been less than inspiring outside of their big win against Manly a few weeks ago.
The Dragons have way too much to play for here and will write off last week’s performance as a one off. Their finals spot is well and truly on the line with the Panthers hot on their heels, the Dragons will bounce back from last week. I’m tipping Dragons -6.0 @ 1.93
Cowboys v Storm
While the Cowboys had a disappointing result against the Roosters last week, these two teams always come together for some great games of football. The Storm had a dominant win last week against the Sea Eagles but find themselves without Cameron Munster this week through injury but are boosted by the return of Billy Slater.
While the Cowboys haven’t beaten the Storm since 2015, the scores between both teams have been incredibly close in almost every meeting and I don’t think will be any different. Both teams pride themselves on their defence, the Cowboys & Storm ranked 4th and 1st for least points conceded.
The Cowboys away record is against them but I do think they have a chance to turn their fortunes around against the Storm. I’m tipping the Cowboys 1-12 @ 4.00 as a value bet.
