Friday night sees Newcastle looking to atone for last weekend’s disappointment when they host a rejuvenated Roosters outfit.
The Roosters were victorious 29-12 when these sides met earlier this season, and they have won 9 of the last 12 matches played here at this ground.
In fact Newcastle has won just one of the past 6 clashes at all venues between the two, and with only 2 victories at home this year they appear to face an uphill battle.
After last week’s poor showing defence and ball control will be a high priority for the Knights, and with only one of the past 5 clashes here surpassing 40pts this could well be a dour affair.
Given the turmoil off the field this week I can’t have Newcastle with any confidence, although I do concede they will be embarrassed by their effort last week and will be keen to make amends in what may well be a low scoring encounter.
