It’s fair to say the Cowboys have been the biggest disappointment of the season thus far, and they will be desperate to get their season going when they host Melbourne on Monday evening.
The Cowboys job will be made tougher via their poor record against their opponents, having won just 5/15 at this ground against the Storm and a paltry 7 of the past 25 clashes overall.
High scoring has been the name of the game here recently, with 4 of the past 5 clashes tallying 40pts or more, and the last 5 winning margins being by 20pts or more.
I get the feeling this is a do or die game for the home side even this early in the season, with plenty of players being put on notice.
Justin “Iron Gloves” O’Neill has made way which should cut down the error rate, and Johnathan Thurston is too good a player not to find form, so I’m siding with the Cowboys to register their first victory of the season and I think they may do it quite impressively.
