Monday night round’s out Round 12, with the clash of arch rivals South Sydney and St George Illawarra.
The Dragons have had a week to forget, just getting home against the bye and sacking Coach Steve Price effective immediately.
Former player Paul McGregor will take the reins for the rest of the season, and he will face a tough initiation against an in form Rabbitohs side.
The Dragons have a good record against Souths, winning 15/21 matches since 1999, however they were embarrassed 26-6 in Round 5 this year so they will be looking for revenge in this return encounter.
Monday night has also been an unhappy time for the Dragons, winning just 4 of their past 13 away matches, and 7 of their past 8 overall.
Souths haven’t been overly impressive for mine, but they are getting the job done and I think they can complete the double over their counterparts here, although I do expect an improved effort from the “Red V’.
Verdict: Souths 1-12 at $3.20 with
