Souths take their home game to Cairns on Sunday afternoon when they face the Newcastle Knights.
The Rabbitohs have quietly been going about their business to sit second on the ladder, whilst the Knights put in a spirited performance to upset the Roosters and keep their slim finals hopes alive.
Souths have won 5 of the past 7 clashes with Newcastle at all venues, with 3 of the past 4 meeting tallying over 42pts.
The Rabbitohs have also been successful away from home this season, winning 7 of their past 8 clashes, so this certainly bodes well for this encounter.
Whilst they have named an unchanged side, there must surely be doubts over the fitness of John Sutton and Sam Burgess for the Rabbitohs, and were these two not to take their place then the current start available for the Knights.
