The final round of the regular season kicks off with arch enemies the Roosters and Souths doing battle at Allianz Stadium.
Both sides are firmly entrenched in the Top 4, and depending on other results the minor premiership may well be an added incentive for the victor.
Souths defeated the Roosters 28-8 in the opening match of the season, however it has been the boys from Bondi Junction who have the historical advantage.
The Roosters have won 8 of the past 12 clashes against Souths at this ground, as well as 18 of the past 26 meetings at all venues.
The last 3 clashes between these two have failed to surpass 40pts, and with inclement weather once again a possibility, we may well see a repeat of this.
Given the rivalry both sides will be up for this and will be looking to get an advantage over the other heading into finals football, and for that reason I’m anticipating a closely fought encounter all the way.
