Manly vs Canberra
Albury plays host to this intriguing Saturday afternoon clash between Manly and Canberra.
Manly enjoy a superior record over the Raiders, having won 8 of their past 10 “home” clashes and 12 of the past 14 clashes at all venues.
Unfortunately complicating matters slightly is this match being played at a neutral venue, with Canberra facing back to back matches away from home and Manly winning just once in their past 8 matches away from Brookvale Oval.
Injuries are also starting to mount in the Manly camp, so something tells me they may be vulnerable here despite showing the better form thus far this season.
I’m loathed to put any sort of faith in the Raiders, however the venue should suit them more than the Sea Eagles and they may have a point to prove after an embarrassing loss last week, so I will side with them but by no means with any degree of confidence.

Newcastle vs St George
The Alex McKinnon Cup will be the prize when the Newcastle Knights host St George Illawarra on Saturday evening.
Newcastle are flying this season and remain the only unbeaten side, whilst the Dragons have managed to string a couple of wins together after a poor start.
Newcastle have won their past 7 clashes at home against all opponents, and were victorious in this corresponding encounter 40-10 last season.
Despite this, it is St George who have the superior record here, winning a remarkable 13 of the past 16 clashes at this ground.
Low scoring has also been a feature with 6 of the past 7 clashes tallying less than 40pts.
With the inaugural Alex McKinnon Cup up for grabs this promises to be quite an emotional encounter.
The Knights didn’t handle things well last year, however they look a different team now and with the return of Tariq Sims to strengthen their cause, I think they can win this impressively and maintain their unbeaten record.
