Minor premiers the Roosters face a do-or-die battle on Friday night when they host the in-form North Qld Cowboys at Allianz Stadium.
The Roosters were shocked by the Panthers last week and will be looking to bounce back against a Cowboys outfit who clinically disposed of the Broncos.
The Roosters have won 6 of the past 9 games at this ground against North Qld, however it’s the Cowboys who have won the 2 most recent meetings here.
The Cowboys have also won 6 of the past 8 clashes at all venues against the Roosters, including a 42-10 demolition in Townsville earlier in the season.
High scoring has also been prevalent, with just 1 of the past 9 clashes at this ground between the two having failed to reach 44pts.
The Roosters were poor last week, but welcome back key additions in Jake Friend and Aiden Guerra for this vital clash.
I still believe the Cowboys are a touch overrated, and expect the Roosters big guns to fire this week and setup a mouth-watering clash with bitter rivals Souths in the preliminary final next week.
