Souths vs Wests Tigers

Souths continue on their impressive start to the season when they host the Wests Tigers on Sunday afternoon.

Both sides come into this undefeated, however there is no question in my mind that the Rabbitohs have been the more impressive of the two thus far.

Souths enjoy a solid record here against the Tigers having won 5 of the past 6 clashes here, and 14 of the past 24 overall.

Both sides enjoy throwing the ball around and creating opportunities for their exciting backs, and with 8 of the past 9 clashes here tallying 40 points or more, I think we can expect more of the same in this one.

There appears to be little value in the Line or Total quotes for me at the moment, so I’m going to play the Jersey Number of First Tryscorer being numbers 1-5.

All 7 of the Tigers tries this year have been from players wearing these numbers, and with 7 of Souths 11 tries featuring the same numbers, I’m happy to lean this way.

Verdict: Jersey of First Tryscorer Numbers 1-5 at $1.55 with Screenshot 2015-02-28 15.16.54

Gold Coast vs Newcastle

The Titans will be looking to get their season underway when they host the high flying Knights on Sunday evening at the Gold Coast.

Gold Coast have a poor home record in recent times having lost 9 of their last 10 here against all opponents, and have also lost 3 of the last 4 clashes here with the Knights.

3 of the last 4 clashes overall between these two have tallied under 40pts, and with the Titans failing to score last week and Newcastle facing back to back away games, we may well get more of the same here.

The Titans have been horrible through the first 2 rounds, however with their suspended players named to return I think they will be Pat Benatar for this one.

The Knights were involved in a physical match last week, and with back to back road games I think they may fatigue late allowing the home side to get over the top for their first victory of the season.

Verdict: Gold Coast Win at $2.30 with Screenshot 2014-05-03 15.52.18
