There are question marks about both teams as we head into Origin III.
Can NSW get up for this match after the celebrations which followed their historic series win in game II?
Will we see the same level of determination from QLD that saw them win the previous eight series?
I think there are more doubts about the motivation of NSW here, with the pride of this great QLD unit at stake in front of their own fans at Suncorp stadium.
There has been very little to separate the teams in this series and we could feasibly be 1-1 or even 2-0 to QLD at this point.
The handicap line stands at QLD -4 and this looks right with nothing between the teams apart from home field advantage. It would be a surprise if this match is anything other than something similar to the closely contested battles we’ve come to expect from these two teams.
Johnathan Thurston will be ultra determined to put up a good show after being rightly criticised for his performance and conduct after game II.
