It’s State of Origin III time and it has the feeling of a game that could either see NSW start a period of dominance or the mighty Queensland maroons swat away the cockroaches once again into yet another false dawn.
NSW won the first game with some ease before somehow throwing away a 16-6 half time lead in Sydney in game II and it’s the same nerves, indecisiveness and pure lack of killer instinct that will trip the Blues up in game III. Let’s face it, they just ain’t used to winning
The last SIX deciding games were won by Queensland
The last nine of 11 deciders in Brisbane were won by Queensland
Ten of the last 12 meaningful games in Brisbane hwere won by Queensland
Of course we all know that the GOAT aka Johnathan Thurston is out but the selectors have done the right thing in going with a spine of Melbourne Storm players and despite taking a lot of stick over the exclusion of Daly Cherry Evans, Ben Hunt will do a job.
I expect both sides to come out firing and for this reason I can see a lot of points on the board and there is also fair chance of a few lead changes with NSW the likely fast starters and QLD hopefully the fast finishers.
