As you’ll know, the last couple of weeks have been painful indeed; not least for the ones we left alone which won, like Wolves at Fulham (you didn’t need to know that bit but we’re in this together so we’ll share the pain!) Thankfully, there’s no Championship this week due to internationals. That league is relentless and enthralling, and must be gruelling for players. It’s hard enough being a supporter of a team in it, and a gambler. It will spring plenty of surprises in the run-in, and we look forward to that. For now, League 1 offers nothing of value whatsoever, so we’re down to just a couple from the basement.
Cambridge vs STEVENAGE
We’ll take Stevenage to prevail at Cambridge simply because they’ve been consistently good for the last six weeks, while their opponents are painfully inconsistent. Anything over $3 is worth having… $3 with
Wycombe Wanderers vs NOTTS CO
Wycombe have recovered from a slump in form and are proving hard to beat again, if not beating many. County’s own form away from home doesn’t look good, but the two sides who recently put three past them are the best in the league at present; Stevenage and Doncaster. They took the lead at the latter, are a side generally improving, and they have good players. $4.20 is a decent price for them with , and we’ll take it.
There’s a game between the top two at Doncaster tomorrow, which I haven’t decided upon yet, so keep your eyes on the site. I’ll tweet about it too. Donny are unbeaten at home, and have tanned the hides of a couple of weaker opponents there recently, while Plymouth were lucky to beat Mansfield in their last away game. However, they’re currently $5 which looks too big.
