The Lyoness Open sees the usual weakened field in the week before a Major with the USOPEN at Oakmont coming up next week.
The Diamond Course in Atzenbrugg, Austria is a par 72 track with LOTS of water in play.
At the top of the market we see home favourite Burnt Cheeseburger, Joost Luiten and recent winner and defending champion Chris Wood. They bet around 2/1 that one of the three wins and although this is probably about right we’ll hope that they all slip up and we can cash in some more each way value, as we did last week with a full place return on Nic Colsaerts.
24 year old Lucas Bjerregaard is a player with immense potential. He has the game to be a top 20 player in the world. He moved to the Nike stable at the start of this year after an impressive end to 2015 and as usual it’s taken him a while to adjust to the new equipment. He had a 3rd placed finish 6 weeks ago and a 20th position last week when he seemed to get the putter going for the first time in a while.

Our second pick is a bit of a stab in the dark.
Englishman Matt Wallace finished tied for 53rd in the Nordea Masters last week despite shooting 76, 80 at the weekend and hopefully he can shake those rounds off and get back to the golf that saw him win 3 (yes, THREE) straight events on the Alps Tour before last week. This, like last week, is obviously a big step up in class, but his opening two rounds in Sweden should give him confidence and this is a much weaker field.
