These were my words last week before we backed George Coetzee.
“I’m backing big George to have a standout year in 2016”
If the big man is indeed to do as expected he won’t have a better chance to get off the mark than this week, at a course he’s been a member at since he was about 10 years old.
He won the event last year and he looks ready to win again.

David Horsey led after round one here last year after an impressive round of 63. He dropped away on the Sunday to finish 10th and he’ll relish the return to this track after a solid yet unspectacular start to the year. A real positive with Horsey is that, unlike last year, he does get it done when it matters and has won four times on the European Tour.

We backed Brett Rumford a couple of times in the Aussie events at the end of last year and he was let down by his putting. This had to be expected as he was moving back to the shorter stick after preferring the belly putter in recent years. he looks much more comfortable with it now after a few month’s practice and he, like Horsey, is a proven winner with 5 ET victories.
