It’s the final round of matches in the National League and what an up and down season it’s been on the punt.
We started really strongly with (using my personal figures which won’t be far off the official ones…when i get around to doing them) a profit of 17 units in the first 18 bets.
We made steady profits then for the next 80 odd bets with the profits rising to 35 units after 100 odd bets. Then came the bad run with one winner in 28 bets. Since then though we’ve bounced right back with 23 units profit from 23 bets and my figures say i’m 34.2 units up from 169 bets which is a ROI of 20%. Happy with that and very much in line with previous years.
There are two ways of looking at the latter half of the season: 1) with a few draws turned into winners during the bad run we’d have had a fantastic season or 2) a few long priced winners late in the season saved what would otherwise have been an average performance.
Whichever way you look at it most punters would eat the scabs off a rabid dog’s leg for a ROI of 20%.
I have started manually entering the data to produce Major League Soccer ratings for the first time and should have these ready to start betting in a week or two. It’s always a bit of a leap in the dark trying new leagues but the matches are at good times for those of us in Oz so we’ll give it a crack and start with half stakes.
