I’m only putting up three bets this weekend so we should be able to avoid any Valentine’s Day massacre gags. Whoops, there’s one.
Eastleigh looked a bit unlucky to go down by three goals at Lincoln in their last match when we were on the winners but that loss makes them winless in five after preceding that match with four draws on the spin. Barrow got beaten at home by Cheltenham – this time we were on the losing side – but they had more shot and shots on target than the high-flying team from Gloucester so they could well have taken a point at least.
Halifax take on Forest Green at home and their recent home record reads W, D, D, W, D, D. They’ve averaged over 12 shots in that time and close to six shots on target. Forest Green are not easy to beat but their last three away ratings of 7.83, 8.83 and 6.0 look weak compared to Halifax’s last three at home of 9.67, 16.25 and 18.58.
The final bet in Bromley to beat Wrexham. Both teams are of similar ability with Wrexham in 12th position on the ladder and Bromley two spots below them with a couple of games in hand. As always, the odds dictate where our hard earned conga goes and at 5/1 it’s got to be on the away team.
