NRL Round 6

Brisbane vs Roosters

Brisbane will be looking to continue their good form of late when they host the Roosters at Suncorp Stadium of Friday night.

Brisbane tend to struggle in this fixture, having lost 6 of their past 7 matches here against the Roosters, and their task has not been made any easier with the availability of backs Hodges and Kahu.

Interestingly in clashes between these two sides at all venues, the away side has won a staggering 16 of the past 21 clashes, so this augers well for the Roosters who will be looking to bounce back after a shock loss to the Sharks.

This should be a close match, and with 4 of the last 5 clashes here having a winning margin of less than 6 points, there certainly appears value in the Tri Bet option and that’s the play I am going to recommend.

Verdict: Tri Bet Either Team to Win by 6.5pts or Less at $3.0 with Screenshot 2015-02-28 15.16.54

Sharks vs Newcastle

After an upset victory last week, the Sharks will be looking to continue their winning ways when they host Newcastle.

The Sharks have a poor record against the Knights, losing their past 4 clashes here and recording just 3 victories in their last 10 meetings.

Furthermore they have won just 10 of the past 28 encounters with the Knights at all venues, as well as being on a 10 game losing streak at this ground.

Low scoring has also been the norm, with just 1 of the past 8 clashes here surpassing 40pts.

This game looks to be much of the same, however after a slip up last week I think Newcastle will be keen to bounce back and I think they have too much class across the park for the Sharks.

Verdict: Newcastle Win at $2.10 with Screenshot 2015-02-28 15.16.54
