Stat Rankings:

Attack: 11th, 19.50  ppg

Defence: 7th, 19.16 ppg

Marquee Man: Andrew Fifita – Recorded huge numbers last season, leading his side in Tackles, Hit Ups and Run Metres to establish himself as one of the premier prop forwards in the game. Big, mobile and possessing great footwork, Fifita is a nightmare for opposition defences and a key weapon for the men from the shire in his final season before a move to the Bulldogs in 2015.

Under the Spotlight: ASADA  – Has dragged on longer than a weekend at the in-laws, with the fall out claiming its first high profile victim in coach Shane Flanagan. It was obvious at times last year that players and staff were mentally drained, and with the investigation ongoing, only time will tell what repercussions this will have for the club.

Draw Analysis: Will need to start well, with 4 of last 5 games away including trips to Auckland, Townsville and Melbourne.

The Sharks overcame adversity to record one of their best finishes in recent years during a difficult 2013 season.

Andrew Fifita and Todd Carney were standouts, whilst skipper Paul Gallen once again recorded the type of numbers we have become accustomed to.

Attack continues to be the Sharks Achilles heel, ranking just 11th overall, so no doubt this will be an area interim coach Peter Sharp will be looking to improve.

With the ASADA cloud still hanging over the shire, Cronulla are $1.85 with Ladbrokes to Miss the Top 8.
